Phillip Stott

Phillip is an experienced safety specialist, engineer and consultant.  He has worked for Air New Zealand and Airwork and provided consultancy services in support of Emirates Airlines, easyJet, All Nippon Airways, Macquarie Aircraft Leasing and Boeing Capital. 

 

He has held CAA, FAA and EASA Senior Person / Post Holder positions for Safety & Quality in a diverse range of organisations associated with: adventure aviation, helicopter operations, maintenance and manufacturing activities, through to fixed wing Boeing operations.     

Phillip is a licenced and degree qualified engineer, who holds a Diploma in Business and a Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety Management.  He is a practicing auditor and investigator.

 

 

Ashraff Nasir
Colin Rippey

Colin has spent several years as a workplace safety advocate and investigator and is a trained aviation incident investigator.  Recently he has been assisting small New Zealand-based CAA-certificated organisations with SMS certification. 

 

He was an RNZAF officer for 21 years, as a pilot, flight instructor, Defence Staff College tutor, and administration officer. He spent the following 20 years as a pilot with Air New Zealand and Malaysia Airlines.  At both those airlines he was also engaged in development and presentation of Human Factors training courses.  At Air New Zealand he was part of the pilot group's workplace safety effort.

 

Colin is a graduate of Canterbury University and was awarded the London City and Guilds Insignia Award in Technology for Avionics Systems Evaluation.

Ron West
Ron West

Ron's aviation career started at Air New Zealand where he held various roles over a 24 year period, including Licenced Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Incident Investigator and Auditor.

 

For the last 16 years Ron has operated as an  contractor / consultant to Airlines, Lessors and Lessees, placing and withdrawing aircraft, and conducting Investigations and Audits, around the world.  Customers supported have included: GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), Nauru Airlines, Virgin Australia and China Southern Airlines.

Ron is a qualified Lead Auditor, Incident/Accident Investigator, Licenced Engineer, and an experienced aircraft type rating (engineering) trainer.

Jennifer Stott
Jennifer Stott

Jennifer has over 15 years’ experience in Health, Safety, Environment & Quality, in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

 

Her passion is the development of systems and supporting documentation to help organisations effectively manage associated hazards and risks.  

 

Jennifer holds a New Zealand Certificate in Science and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Ashraff Nasir

Ash has over 30 years of aircraft maintenance industry experience here in NZ and overseas. He has worked as a line and hangar maintenance engineer, technical services engineer, safety and quality assurance systems auditor, CAA airworthiness inspector, aviation instructor and engineering manager.

His functional focus has been engineering management, strategic planning, quality and process improvement, safety management system and technical training. He is an experienced lead auditor and ICAO trained incident and accident investigator.

Ash is a licenced engineer and holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications in mechatronics, quality management and project management.
